How to Find Us

Coming in on I-85 North(Greensboro area)

• I-85 North to the NC-147 South exit (exit number 172) toward Durham/Downtown. Merge onto NC-147 South.

• Take the Roxboro Street Exit (exit number 12) and go to the second light. Take a left onto South Roxboro Street. Then you will pass through Jackie Robinson Drive and a light there.

• Going up the hill, stay in the left lane and pass Pettigrew St. (1st light) and Main St. (2nd light). You will pass a 3rd light at Liberty Street and, shortly thereafter, will need to take a left onto Holloway Street (4th light). This will quickly merge onto Morgan Street.

• From Morgan turn right at the second light onto Rigsbee Avenue (McDonald’s is on the right).

• After turning onto Rigsbee Avenue, you will pass Seminary Street and should look for Tire King on your right just past the Center for Senior Life.

• Take a right at the Tire King onto Hunt Street and proceed for a short distance to the upper parking lot on your right - this is the principal parking area for the Durham Center for Senior Life. The Center’s main entrance will be clearly visible.

Note: There is also parking available on the surrounding streets.

Coming in from I-40 West (Raleigh area)

• Take I-40 West towards Durham/Chapel Hill.

• Take the NC-147 North exit (exit number 279B) toward Durham/Downtown.

• Merge onto NC-147 North for approximately eight miles.

• Take the Roxboro Street exit (exit number 12-B) and get immediately in the right-hand lane. Take a right onto Roxboro Street.

• Going up the hill, get in the far left lane and pass Pettigrew St. (1st light) and Main St. (2nd light). You will pass a 3rd light at Liberty Street and, shortly thereafter, will need to take a left onto Holloway Street (4th light). This will quickly merge onto Morgan Street.

• From Morgan turn right at the second light onto Rigsbee Avenue (McDonald’s is on the right).

• After turning onto Rigsbee Avenue, you will pass Seminary Street and should look for Tire King on your right just pass the Center for Senior Life.

Coming in on 15-501 (Chapel Hill)

• Take the 15-501 by-pass North toward Durham and stay on the by-pass by bearing right at the split with 15-501 business, just before the former site of South Square Mall.

• Continue North on the by-pass and just after the exit for Morreene Road, take the exit for NC-147 South (exit number 108B, Downtown). YOU WILL NEED TO BEAR TO THE RIGHT OFF OF EXIT 108B TO ACCESS NC-147 SOUTH.
